Oceans Resort Terms and Conditions
Booking Policy
No reservation will be accepted or guaranteed, unless a valid credit card number, cardholders name and card expiry date are supplied at the time of reservation.
Please note to protect your credit card identity all online credit card payments are processed by Direct Payment Solutions (DPS).
This means that when booking online, the full cost of the stay is deducted immediately by DPS on behalf of Oceans Resort at the time of making the booking.
When making a booking ‘on request’ (when the booking has to be manually confirmed by Oceans Resort), funds are reserved for a period of 5 -7 days but not charged against the card until a booking has been confirmed. If the booking request is subsequently declined the authorisation will be released after the same 5 – 7 day period.
Cancellation Policy
Oceans Resort Whitianga adopts the following practice when dealing with a cancellation of a holiday booking.
High Season – Labour Weekend to Easter
If the booking is cancelled 28 days or more prior to the date of arrival, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of $30.00.
If the booking is cancelled less than 28 days prior to the arrival date, there will be no refund unless and until the premises are re-let for the total period of the original booking. An administration fee of $30.00 will be deducted from the deposit held before the remainder is refunded.
Low Season – Easter to Labour Weekend
If the booking is cancelled 14 days or more prior to the date of arrival, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of $30.00.
If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days prior to the planned date of arrival, there will be no refund unless the premise are re-let for the total period of the original booking. An administration fee of $30.00 will be deducted from the deposit held before the remainder is refunded.
The administration fee covers the cost of processing the booking, receipting and banking the deposit, cancelling booking from reservation system, drawing a refund cheque, mailing the refund cheque with letter and meeting bank charges.
Please note, any advice of a cancellation MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCEANS RESORT IN WRITING.

17 April 2021 - 2 May 2021 (School Holiday)
4 June 2021 - 7 June 2021 (Queens Birthday)
10 July 2021 - 25 July 2021 (School Holiday)
17 Sep 2021 - 18 Sep 2021 (Scallop Festival)
2 October 2021 - 17 October 2021 (School Holiday)
22 October 2021 - 25 October 2021 (Labour Day)
24 December 2021 - 10 January 2022 (Christmas – New Year)
Terms and Conditions
- Check in time is from 2.00-5.00pm. Late check ins after 5.00pm must be prearrangement with the Duty Manager during office hours (8.00am-5.00pm).
- Arrivals after 8.00pm incur a $40 call out fee.
- No arrivals after 10.00pm.
- Check out time is by 10.00am.
- No refund for early departure.
The Customer will be required to provide a credit card number at motel check in to cover incidental charges.
We are a NON Smoking complex.
