Pet Policy
At The Oceans Resort, we are committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and allergy-conscious environment for all guests. In support of this commitment, we have established the following policy regarding pets and service animals.
1. No Pets Policy
Pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises, including but not limited to guest rooms, balconies, common areas, and all outdoor spaces.
2. Service Animals
Certified service animals, as defined under New Zealand law, are welcome at Oceans Resort. A service animal is individually trained to perform specific tasks that assist a person with a disability.
Upon check-in, staff may respectfully ask: Whether the animal is required due to a disability, and what task(s) the animal has been trained to perform.
Please Note: Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals do not meet the legal definition of a service animal in New Zealand and are therefore not permitted on the premises.
3. Rationale This policy is in place to: Minimise potential allergic reactions, phobias, or sensitivities among guests: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel.
4. Policy Violations:- Guests who bring unauthorized animals onto the property may be subject to: A minimum cleaning and sanitization fee of NZD $250; Immediate termination of their stay without refund.
